Description
These sliding contact, single tube rheostats are wound with heavily oxidised resistance wire on a vitreous enamelled steel tube. The tube is carried on robust enamelled die-cast end stands and the heavy duty sliding contact is of the multi leaf phosphor bronze type, nickel plated for corrosion resistance. The unit is fitted with 4mm socket terminals allowing for both rheostat or potentiometer connection.
**CAUTION: All above rheostats are of open design and not protected, therefore they should not be used with voltages greater than 50 volts. While ordering rheostats, please specify the ohmage, and current capacity clearly. Current indicating is for vertical intermittent use. Current should not exceed 75% of the marked value when rheostats are used horizontally.
